With Entrepreneurship in Our DNA, We Relate to Founders Differently

Generations of entrepreneurship and experience operating high-growth companies sets us apart. Our experience as owner/operators and our ability to hold onto portfolio companies indefinitely (in some cases 35+ years) distinguishes us from most buyers in the marketplace.

With family dinners focusing on every aspect of operations and investing, the mantel has now been passed to the third generation to continue the tradition of growing and investing for the long-term.

Preservation Holdings LLC's partners manage a portfolio of over $100mm in alternative assets, including majority and minority stakes in operating companies.

Charles Tindall & RadioShack

Mr. Tindall was born on a farm in Kirksville, MO. After serving as a Marine on Iwo Jima and the broader Pacific Theater during World War II, Charles returned home to become the first member his family to attend college. Charles went on to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and joined what is today PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Mr. Tindall later joined the Tandy Corporation, the parent company of the RadioShack Corporation, as its Chief Financial Officer. Under Charles's leadership, RadioShack's grew from a regional retailer to multi-billion dollar global enterprise. At its peak, RadioShack was the worlds largest seller of consumer electronics, with operations across over 8,000 stores.

Mr. Tindall served on the Board of Directors for Pier1 Imports and oversaw multiple acquisitions, including A&A Trading, an importer of products from across the globe, and Stafford Loudon Printing Company, one of the largest printing companies in the United States. At its peak, the Tandy Corporation owned over 50 portfolio companies.

Scott Tindall & Tindall Record Storage

Charles' son, Scott Tindall, followed in his father's entrepreneurial footsteps. Scott founded Tindall Record Storage in 1981 and grew the company from a single facility into the largest privately owned document storage company in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro, with a network of commercial properties that spanned the metroplex.

Tindall Record was later sold to Access Holdings, a portfolio company of Berkshire Partners.

Several of Mr. Tindall's properties would go on to receive historic designations by the city of Fort Worth. An enthusiastic investor in and developer of real estate, Scott continues to own and operate many of his original properties.
